What is Content?

In the simplest and most comprehensive way, content is all the valuable information that users can consume on the internet environment. It has no fixed shape, but exists in many different formats, including:

💡 When you start writing, you’ll need a framework — reference popular content writing formulas So we do n’t have to start at zero.

  • Text (Text): Blog posts, Facebook status, eBooks …
  • Image (Image): Photo, Infographic, Meme, Banner Ads…
  • Video: Clip TikTok, video YouTube, Livestream…
  • Audio (Audio): Podcast, Radio, Music…

Examples of easy to understand:

When you surf Facebook, the status line (caption) you read is text content. The accompanying photo is image content. And when you click on a funny video on Tiktok, Reel, it is video content.

In short, everything you see and hear on the screen is Content.

“A classic mistake of novices is the default ‘Content = Articles on the website’. This is very narrow thinking.

Remember, Content is information. Whatever conveys the message to the customer, it is Content.”

So what does Content really do?

When you search for keywords What is content makingYou’re probably imagining a person typing on a computer all day.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Content Creator/Marketer’s job is not simply “key typing”, but a logical thinking process consisting of 4 steps that cost a lot of “gray” as follows:

  • Research (Research): This is the most important step. You must know where the customer is in pain? What voice do they like to hear? (Example: Gen Z customers like youthfulness, humor; Real estate customers need professionalism, accurate data).
  • Idea & Structure (Ideation): What format would you choose to solve their problem? Write a long article, shoot a short video, or design a photo?
  • Production (Production): This is where you put your hands down to write, spin, or design.
  • Measurement (Measurement): After posting, does the article have anyone read? Does the video have anyone watching? If it does not work, where to fix it?

Practical examples:

💡 If you need content written and optimized ready to post, it is possible to refer to SEO standard writing service of Duan.

Let’s say you approve the project to sell “Back Pain Pills.”

  • If only “write it down”: I’ll write a poem about my back pain -> Customers read it well, but did n’t buy the drug.
  • When “do Content” is true: Duan found that people with back pain often search for “home remedies for back pain.” Duan wrote a detailed guide, skillfully integrating the uses of the drug. -> The client finds the drug helpful, trusts it, and decides to buy it.

In short: Content creation is the use of content to solve customer problems, thereby benefiting the business.

What is Content SEO? Why is it most important to Website?

If your website wallet like a store, then web design is the interior decoration, but also the design of the website is the Content SEO are the best salespeople, working 24/7 to pull customers back.

So what is SEO Content specifically and why do all marketing people are obsessed with the phrase “SEO standards”?

What is Content SEO? Why is it most important to Website?

What is SEO standard content?

A lot of you misunderstand that “SEO standards” is to write mechanically, insert keywords into the post according to certain criteria, checklists. This is true!

But that’s the SEO content thinking of 10 years ago!

The most accurate definition I came up with for the 2025 period is as follows:

SEO standard content is content optimized to satisfy at the same time the 2 most demanding objects:

  • Search Engine (Google): Make it easy for Google to understand what the article is about to rank.
  • User (User): Provide useful information, solve the right problem they are looking for.

Simple formula: SEO standard content = Real value (for readers) + Optimal technique (for Google)

There are two fatal mistakes that Duan often makes when you are just learning to write:

  • Error 1: Writing to machine (Keyword Spam): Trying to cram keywords “beautiful men’s shoes”, “buy men’s shoes”, “cheap men’s shoes” into the article makes the sentences swollen, meaningless. Google is now extremely smart, it will immediately drop these spammy posts.
  • Error 2: Write too well (Forgotten technique): The article is very uplifting, emotions are abundant but… there is no clear title, no keywords. As a result, Google does not know what topic article to put on the Top.

Why Websites Must Have SEO Content?

If you wonder why businesses are willing to pay high salaries for SEO-standard content writing staff, here are 3 reasons to survive:

First: Help Website to Top Google sustainable (Free Traffic)

This is the biggest difference.

  • If you run ads: You pay, there are customers, the money is gone.
  • If you do SEO content well: Articles to the Top 1 Google. Customers just look to themselves every day, month after month that you not cost a penny pay Google. It’s a long-term asset.

Second: Help save huge Marketing costs

Let’s do a small problem: To get 1 click from Google Ads, you can lose 5,000 – 20,000 VND. If your SEO article brings about 10,000 visits / month, you are saving hundreds of millions of dollars per month.

Third: Help build trust with customers

People are more likely to trust natural search results than those that say “sponsored.” When your article is ranked #1 with the most in-depth information, customers will have the following in mind: “This site is head of Google is definitely reputable, is expert in the industry”.

For example: You sell “Water Purifiers.”

  • Customers looking for: “Which water purifier is good for the family”.
  • They see your article analyzing the pros/cons of each type in detail, not just taking care of sales.
  • Results: They trust your knowledge -> They trust your brand -> Purchase rates are higher than if you just slap “Buy it, buy it” ads in their face.

Standards Of An SEO Standard Content Post (Checklist)

Just because you’ve written an article doesn’t mean you’re done. Before you hit the “Publish” button, you need to play the role of a hard-nosed moderator to review the article.

Here is the standard checklist that Duan and his team are still applying daily to accept the article. You can apply now:

Basic On-page Elements

This is what hits the user and Google first. If this part does not work well, the content inside no matter how much no one watches.

1. Title (Post Title):

  • This is the number one important factor to decide whether users click on the view or not.
  • Requirements: Contains your main keyword (preferably at the beginning of the sentence).
  • Length: Bottom optimization 60 characters (If longer, Google will truncate it to “…”).
  • Properties: Be curious or promise to solve the problem.

❌ Sai: Today I’m going to share with you what content is. (Long line, last keyword).

✅ Yes, yes. What is Content? 5 Steps to Writing SEO Standard Content for Beginners (Concise, meaningful, SEO standards).

2. Sapo (Opening Paragraph):

You only have about 15 seconds. to keep the reader engaged. Sapo had to get right to the point.

  • Requirements: Required to contain primary keywords in First 100 words (for Google bot to recognize the topic immediately).
  • Contents: Address the customer’s pain and offer a solution. Do n’t rambling, “First thing to say hello…”

3. Heading (Sub-heading cards H2, H3…):

Imagine Heading as the “bone” of the article.

  • H1: As the article title (only 1 single H1 tag).
  • H2: These are the major ideas (which support H1).
  • H3: These are small ideas (which support H2).
  • Effects: Help readers scan content quickly and help Google understand the logical structure of the post.

In-depth technical elements

This part represents the expertise (specialization) of SEOs, helping the article compete with thousands of other competitors, it is necessary to pay attention to the following factors:

1. Keyword Density (Keyword Density):

  • Principle: Key words should appear scattered from opening, body to ending, with an ideal frequency of about 1-3%.
  • Important Note: Absolutely not stuffing (Keyword Stuffing), but use more of the semantic keywords (LSI Keywords) or synonyms to make the article more natural. For example: Instead of repeating the word “SEO content” ten times, you could alternate words like “optimized writing”, “writing techniques”, “SEO standard content”, etc..

A solitary article is a weak article. Let’s connect it:

  • Internal Link: Insert links pointing to other articles on the same website. Effect: Keeps users staying on the page longer.
  • External Link: Point out the link to the reputable sites (such as Wikipedia, Newspapers, Google …) to cite the source. Effect: Increase the reliability (Trust) for the article.

3. Optimize image:

Google can’t “see” the image, it can only “read” the information.

  • Alt Text (Alternative Text): Describe the content of the image containing keywords. (Example: Alt=”So sanh content seo and content writing”).
  • Capacity: Compress images under 100KB to fast load web (Web slow client will quit immediately).
  • Caption: The small text below the image will help to explain it to the reader.

Tips from Duan: “Write for your readers first, then optimize for Google later. Don’t try to force your sentences to be distorted and meaningless by trying to include keywords. Google is smart enough today to understand your content even if you don’t repeat the keywords too much.”

The 5 Steps to SEO-Friendly Content Writing Process

Many of you ask Duan: “Why can’t you write a line all day?” or “Why do you write so passionately that no one reads?”.

The reason is simply that you are following your gut.

To produce quality content regularly, you need a standard process. Here are 5 “immovable” steps that I have drawn after more than 10 years of work:

Step 1: Research – Do not write when you do not understand

Step 1: Research – Do not write when you do not understand

Never put your hand on a keyboard when you do n’t know who you’re writing to.

  • Search Keywords (Keyword Research): Identify key keywords (high volume) and trailing keywords (long-tail keywords).
  • Find Insight: Ask yourself the question: What is the problem with this keyword searcher? Do they want to read a quick guide or in-depth analysis? Are they a student or a business owner? For example, if the keyword is “iPhone 15 price,” and the user wants to see the price list and where it’s for sale, do n’t write a lengthy article about Apple history.

Step 2: Outline – The backbone of the article

An outline is like a house design drawing. Without it, your article will be rambling, off-topic and lacking logic.

  • List out the H2, H3 cards you plan to write.
  • Organize them in a logical order (What matters goes first).

Step 3: Drafting – Forget SEO

At this step, forget the technical rules for now. Write in a flowing sentence along your feelings and thoughts to solve the problem for the reader.

Tip: Don’t write while you’re correcting. Just write as much as you can. Stopping to correct spelling will cut your creative circuit.

Step 4: Optimize SEO (Optimization) for posts

Once you’ve got the raw content, it’s time to put on your technical SEO hat:

  • Insert keywords into Title, Sapo, Heading and scatter them throughout the post.
  • Highlight key points so that your reader can catch your attention.
  • Optimize Internal link and External link.
Step 4: Optimize SEO (Optimization) for posts

Step 5: Read and review

This step determines your professionalism. Check for spelling mistakes, slurred sentences.

Bloody Bone Tips: “Put yourself in the position of the most difficult user. Try reading your own article on the phone. If you are them, do you have patience to read all this or will you get out in 3 seconds? If you yourself are still bored, do not expect Google to rank that article high.”

End of story

So by now, you probably have a pretty clear answer to this question. “What is Content” Yeah, right?

Remember: Content is not just a word, Content is the solution, and Content SEO is the longest, most sustainable way to build a brand and make money on the Internet. Do not rush, start from the most basic things, write right before writing well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a quick answer to the questions I often get from new friends:

1. Is it difficult to learn to make content? What qualities are needed?

It’s not hard if you work hard. This job doesn’t require you to be a literary genius. The most important quality is Logical thinking and… Empathy (put yourself in the customer’s shoes).

2. What is SEO content different from Journalism?

Journalists write to cover events, facts. SEO content creators write to meet the search needs and convince readers (buy/trust).

3. Should I write my own content or hire an external content service?

If you’re a startup with a low budget, educate yourself and write to understand your customers. When it’s bigger, hire a specialist staff or agency to ensure in-depth volume and quality.

Any theory will only be theory if you do not start to do. Do not wait until “perfect” to write. Open your computer, research a keyword you like and write the first SEO standard content today.
